About Distro Vault

Distro Vault keeps a small, hand-picked set of Linux installation images in one place: the most popular desktop and server distributions, fetched from the original publishers and verified against their checksums before they appear here.

What is here

Only current releases are kept. Older files are removed once a newer image is published, so every link always points at the latest build.

Integrity

Each file is compared with the checksum published upstream. A generated .sha256sum file sits beside every image, so you can verify a download with sha256sum -c.

Updates

The mirror syncs periodically. The sync date is shown on the front page.

Use and limits

Direct downloads and resumed transfers are welcome. Please be gentle with parallel connections — this is a small server.
